Decontra loop-hike in the Orfento Valley
Il sentiero collega Decontra con la Valle dell’Orfento. La prima parte del percorso è molto panoramica e regala la vista dei boschi e delle principali cime della Maiella. The path connects Decontra with the Orfento Valley. The first part of the itinerary is very panoramic, with a view on the woods and the main summits of the Maiella.
During the hike you will notice as the surroundigs lands have been historically used for farming; the dry-stone walls are still visible, used in the past to mark the owned lands. The hike goes on until the Orfento river where the vegetation gets lusher and rich in white willows.
