The Fonte Viola path in the Orfento Valley
It consists of a panoramic trail prevalently descending from where it is possible to enjoy spectacular views of the Maiella and the Orfento Valley, in the heart of an ancient forest of hornbeams and oaks.
With enough luck, nearby the Colle della Ciocca, you can have the chance to spot eagles gliding in the sky. While descending, under a crag on the left, is located the spring Fonte Viola. The latter is famous for its peculiarity: the water gushes out straight from the rock.
